At Long Last Interview!

How did the band first get started?

- “In the 5th grade Carson and Jordan were in the talent show, I saw them at the 6th grade and joined after that; Cole joined in the 7th grade.” -Caden

How did you come up with the name “At Long Last?”

-“My sister saw an article for a band into the newspaper that was titled At Long Last because their tour had been delayed 6th months” -Caden

How was the One Direction Tour? Do you have any crazy tour stories?

-“The time of my entire life! Ya we do, when we were in Canada Cole was messing around and jumped off a coffee table and managed to slip while he was jumping and busted his forehead open! We thought we were going to have to rush him to the emergency room!” -Caden

What is your favorite city to play in and why?

- “On tour, every city was a little different. All of them were so awesome to us, and they showed us so much we’d never seen before. I love playing Oklahoma shows just cause it’s our lighthouse really. But as for tour, my favorite city was definitely Boston. We played a great set that night and it was packed. We met some really cool people.” -Jordan

What is your favorite part about seeing your fans?

- “Just the fact that they are always so loyal and the fact that they can always put a smile on our faces. We have some very dedicated fans that are always there for us. They make us who we are.” -Jordan

If you could take credit for writing any song in the history of music, which song would you pick and why?

- “Under Pressure by Queen. You’d be making bank bro..” -Carson

What does it feel like when you get up on stage? Do you still get nervous?

- “Not much anymore really, but it’s an incredible feeling. Just seeing all those people out there with their smiles singing our words that came from our heart is an amazing feeling.” -Caden

- “Tigger cause he’s my home boy” -Caden

What did you have for breakfast this morning?

- “I’m really bummed out to say nothing.. Waffle House is my jam though.” -Jordan

If you could tour with any three bands, who would you choose with and why?

- “Mayday Parade, All Time Low, and Foo Fighters” -Carson

First CD you ever bought?

- “NSYNC: No Strings Attached, and then onto Motley Crue: Girls, Girls, Girls. I was dysfunctional.” -Jordan

What is one song you have on your iPod that you’d be embarrassed to admit you listen to?

- “Starships by Nikki Minaj” -Carson

What are your plans for the rest of the year? Do you have any upcoming tours?

- “To keep writing new songs so we can get back into the studio to get an EP out to you guys!” -Jordan
William Beckett Interview- Fan-Submitted Questions!

Stereo Stage Media (SSM): How did you first get started with music? Do you come from a musical family?

William: Growing up I was surrounded by music.  Both my mother and my father loved music but weren’t musicians or artists.  My mom was a huge fan of late 80’s pop/rock.  She was always listening to Duran Duran, New Order, The Cure, The Thompson Twins, etc.  My dad was really into early 90’s grunge bands like Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots and Soundgarden.  The mix of these early influences with some of the underground punk and indie bands I was discovering in the 2000’s converge to form the base on which I’ve grown as an artist.

SSM: What was your favorite band growing up as a teenager and why?

William: I had a boat load of favorites.  If I had to choose one, I’d probably go with The Cure.  The band wrote killer songs that were not only emotive in lyric, melody and vocal delivery but in music composition and production as well.  They had the whole package.

SSM: What was the first song you learned to play on the guitar?

William: Actually, as a young aspiring guitarist I never took the time to learn other songs.  When I started playing guitar, I immediately began writing my own songs.  It was only later that I began studying other songs and structures.

SSM: If you were a unicorn, what color would your mane be?

William: I just asked my daughter, who is a unicorn expert.  “Your fur color would be yellow and your mane color would be rainbow painted.”  So there you go.

SSM: Having now been solo for a year, how does it compare to what you expected?

William: Its been great. My expectations for myself were to stay true to my vision and see it through in the most honest and genuine way.  My new management team has been amazing as well.  So far so good, but we’ve got a lot of road ahead of us.

SSM: Is there any chance of a winter/spring tour?

William: Two tours this Fall/Winter were just announced.  I will be touring with my old friend Bryce Avery and The Rocket Summer w/ Classic Crime in November.  Then in December I’m going out with Never Shout Never.  Grab your tickets now, its going to be CRAZY.

SSM: What was the first thing on your mind when you woke up this morning?

SSM: Out of all of the songs you’ve written, which one stands out the most and why?

William: Its impossible to answer that question…  If forced to, I’d say any of my latest solo work is what I’m most proud of.

SSM: What color socks are you wearing?

William: They are grey with purple & green argyle.

SSM: If you could take the credit for writing any song in history, which one would you want to be known for?

William: Only the ones I’ve written and earned credit for.

SSM: Do you have any advice for an aspiring singer/songwriter?

William: Focus on your songs first.  Content is everything.

SSM: Is there anything else you want to tell your fans?

William: See you on tour!  Get your tickets now at www.thewilliambeckettsociety.com
